Some students learn faster and more easily than others. These students may shine in creativity, thinking, leadership or sport.

Why choose us for your high-potential or gifted child?

Introducing the Year 7 2027 Aspire Class Program, designed for young people to explore and enhance their talents in High Potential and Gifted domains. Selection for this class will be conducted by an Aspire Class Panel, which will consider applications, endorsements from current principals, learning portfolios, and interviews to determine the final selection. Additionally, nominations can be made by the Bellingen High School Executive and Primary Principals

What is high potential and gifted education?

Inspire – High potential and gifted education (HPGE) is how our school supports students with advanced learning needs.

We do this through:

effective teaching strategies like enrichment, extension and acceleration

tailored support during lessons that stretch, challenge and inspire

access to a wide range of opportunities both within and beyond our school.

Our specially designed HPGE programs challenge and inspire students who show advanced abilities, helping them develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Aspire Stage 4 classes are designed to help young people explore and enhance their talents in the High Potential and Gifted domains. Selection for this class will be conducted each year by an Aspire Class Panel.
