Welfare Policy

	What is student welfare? Student welfare: includes everything that a school community does to meet the personal, social and learning needs of students creates a safe, caring environment in which students are nurtured as they learn provides opportunities for students to: - enjoy success and recognition - make a useful contribution to the life of the school - derive enjoyment from their learning.				Student Welfare Policy Statement We designed the Bellingen High School Welfare Policy to encourage students to: develop self reliance take responsibility for their own welfare and contribute to the welfare of others. 	TO BE HAPPY AND SAFE				To treat others with consideration - not to threaten, abuse or use violence against them.
	TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT				To respect others - students and staff.
	TO KEEP YOUR PROPERTY SAFE				Not to interfere with other people's property. Not to vandalise anything. Not to steal or to "borrow" without permission.
	TO ENJOY A HEALTHY, SAFE AND PLEASANT ENVIRONMENT				To keep the whole school environment tidy, free of litter and free of graffiti.
