Library resources

Our library has a range of resources available to students including:

  • fiction
  • non-fiction and reference books
  • games and puzzles.
  • streaming services of educational resources
  • laptop and desktop computers for classes or individuals to use for study
  • video conference equipment for sister schools and distance education students.

Our collection is built with input from teachers and students, ensuring we both support the curriculum and hold books and resources our students will enjoy.

Library goals

The main aim of our library is to provide a dynamic environment for independent learners and to provide services and curriculum resources of the highest quality and relevance. Teaching staff co-operatively plan and teach with the Teacher Librarian. The library supports a whole school literacy and literature promotion in conjunction with the English faculty.

Library cards

Each student is issued with an ID card at the beginning of the school year, which students use to borrow resources such as laptops and books in the library.  The library provides free printing for school work outside of class times, accessible from 8.30am.

Senior study room

Senior students have access to a Senior Study room co-located with the library, specialist senior year resources, as well as an outdoor area.

Library catalogue

All students can access the Library Catalogue from home through My Portal, then scroll down to My Library.

Instructions on using the catalogue remotely can be found here.
